A New Beginning 

Greetings beloved light family,

It's been a while now since I last updated this blog but so much has happened it has prompted me to start sharing again. Last year, I managed to bring certain areas of my life together in a more meaningful and coherent way than I had done previously and this is essentially what has brought me back to my blog. In terms of the bigger picture, everything we do is in fact contributing to our personal growth and development, no matter how unrelated or fragmented it may seem. Conventional stereotyping would often have us trying to conform to a 2d cardboard cut-out which lacks both breadth and depth. The fact is, life is far more mysterious than we care to admit and we often have an urge to conform, so that we may feel a little less alien and uncomfortable. But then we find we have put ourselves into a little box and the comfort we were seeking tends to be very short lived, as we find ourselves suffocating in the straitjacket we inadvertently strapped ourselves into. We need to grow, not contract and one way to do this is to seek to bring together all the things that we feel are important and that we truly value. In this way we are separating the wheat from the chaff and honing in to what really matters. The things that can really bring us something enduring and worthwhile.

 
One of the best ways that I've found, that is so helpful in this respect, is to look at the things that we love to do. This simple exercise will give us all the clues we need to finding our own personal path. A way out of the maze that can at times be so confusing and it really is as simple as that. The things that we love to do are the doorway to our unique gifts and it is these that hold the promise of our individual unfoldment. Once we start tapping into them in a more conscious way, they will blossom and grow, as will we. Finding our own true path has got to be the most rewarding thing we can ever do! It is simply beyond parallel. It is the Holy Grail and with it comes the offer of a sense of fulfillment that cannot be surpassed. The feeling of being connected and guided by our own Higher Self becomes a reality and is no longer just a dream of something that might happen in the future.

So this is an account of my own personal ascension journey. The areas I have recently managed to integrate in a more coherent way is my love of creativity, in the form of 3-Dimensional Art, which I'm now using to illustrate the concepts I'm presenting. In my original post, a few years ago, I did use my photos to break up the text but they were not really related as such to what I was saying. So it's another way of sharing in a slightly different format, which may appeal to some more than others, which of course is always the case with everything. Often the more ways we have to approach a subject the better, for it can afford us a more rounded view of what can be a complex and confusing area. The approach I most favour is along the lines of “the simplest things are often the most profound” and this is the basis for many of the ideas I seek to share. If this resonates then that's all well and good but also if it doesn't that's fine as well, because we're all different and we each have to find our own unique path. We may travel for a time together but we're all free to choose another direction at every step. It's always vital to remember that our individual sovereignty is paramount, which I believe needs to be acknowledged and upheld by those who would seek the light.

This first offering then is entitled “A New Beginning” and it emphasises the importance of commitment. In the accompanying narrative, the character has decided after much deliberation to dedicate her life to the path of enlightenment. That is, to seek to unravel the mysteries she feels are hidden within and to expand her consciousness and realise her higher potential. These she feels are possibilities but she has to find a way to move forward with this initiative. Up until this point she has been accumulating knowledge about her options but none of these have been actualised and increasingly her everyday life has been feeling more and more trivial with its everyday concerns of the mundane. This brings her to a crossroads, a parting of the ways and it all hangs on one thing which is “commitment”. It is the point where she thinks “I've had enough of this merry-go-round and I want off and to really be free I'm prepared to commit myself 100% if that's what it takes.” No more is “ascension and enlightenment” just one of many interests pursued during periods of leisure. Now it starts to become the driving force underlying everything she does. She is ready to commit and when she does so with all her heart, her life instantly changes and she is on a new timeline.

Her life now has a different outcome and she will rapidly grow into the person she was always meant to be. She will realise her higher destiny and all because she was prepared to make a commitment and take back responsibility for her life. We are all free to make our choice when we feel the time is right. We are free to take the long and winding road, the scenic route, but there comes a time when we start to feel we've seen it all before! The importance of this point cannot be overestimated, for it is a game-changer and then it's just a single step and the step is commitment. Once we take that step we never look back, for our landscape changes beyond all recognition. We'll find ourselves in a new world with breathtaking vistas because all our values have changed. But it won't be without struggle along the way, for at some point we will have to confront our greatest fears and our deepest insecurities. Everything will need to be laid bare and brought into the light, but even if we decide to avoid all this by staying in the shadows, our life will only get harder and more unbearable. Eventually there comes the point where we think, enough is enough, things have got so bad I'm willing to do whatever it takes and at that point we're ready for A New Beginning.

So there we are my friends. We've all been there, or will be, because life has a way of putting us exactly where we need to be to have the choices that can set us free. And because we are all so intimately connected we need to help one another as much as possible in as many ways as we can. Our diversity is our strength and it is when we recognise our unity that we will be on the threshold of resolving all the problems we face.

A New Beginning

She was brought to the temple by her family so that she could learn the old ways. She had decided to devote herself to serve in this way of her own volition. Without her consent it would be meaningless but given freely it could open up unlimited possibilities. Her family was wealthy and she wanted for nothing but now she would learn how to serve and in so doing the wisdom they guarded would gradually be revealed to her.

Those who possessed the keys to the hidden knowledge would be her mentors. This was the entrance, the gateway to the worlds of the unknown. But first she would have to prove herself worthy and free of the darkness that had consumed so many. The dark was the foe that awaited the unwary always moving with stealth, never revealing its true nature until it was too late. She would have much to learn but this was the path she had chosen.
